By using Omni Auth (“the app”) you agree to these terms.

The app

Omni Auth generates time-based (TOTP) and counter-based (HOTP) one-time passwords on your device. It is a tool for storing and using two-factor authentication secrets that you obtain from other services.

Your responsibility for your data

This is the most important thing to understand:

• Your two-factor secrets are stored only on your device, encrypted. We have no server and no copy of them.
• If you lose your device and have no backup, your codes cannot be recovered — by you or by us. There is no password reset and no support channel that can restore them.
• You are responsible for keeping a Recovery Kit, an encrypted backup, or your original recovery codes from each service.
• If you set a backup password or generate a Recovery Key, you are responsible for storing it safely. We cannot recover it, and without it the corresponding backup is permanently unreadable.

Acceptable use

Use the app only for accounts you are authorised to access, and in compliance with applicable law.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that codes will always be accepted by any particular service — for example, one-time passwords will fail if your device clock is significantly wrong.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, access, or profits, arising out of your use of or inability to use the app — including loss of access to accounts protected by codes stored in the app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of the above may not apply to you.

Privacy

Use of the app is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version is always published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
